In Despair...

In Despair

I watch the world in despair,
Nothing good being done,
Chaos stopped by no one,
To bring the light out of darkness,

I watch the world in despair,
Rivers of blood flow,
Nowhere peaceful to go,
To break free of this hopelessness,

I watch the world in despair,
Explosions occur left and right,
Innocents struggle, a losing fight,
To change this state of distress,

I watch the world in despair,
As people kill their own,
They prefer staying alone,
Submerged in selfish happiness,

I watch the world in despair,
The sinless are imprisoned,
People of color shunned,
To live a life of sadness,

I watch the world in despair,
Waiting for change in state,
Let it be, before its too late,
To pull us out of this abyss,

I watch the world in despair... ,

Small Explanation - "In Despair" describes the emotion of a person torn apart by worrying for the world. In this world there are many nations, and each have their own problems, some places people of color are shunned(out-casted), while in other places mass murders occur, and if problems of large scale were not enough, the person also worries about the general vices a person faces like betrayal, injustice, murder(for wealth), etc.

It is a fact that the world as a whole is definitely going downhill. He feels there is no place where peace exists ("nowhere peaceful to go"). All the person can do is helplessly watch the world in despair.

Not One More Tear

Not One More Tear Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog

Not one more tear,
From you, can i bear,

You dont share the pain, why?,
It breaks me, to see you cry,

Alone, why must you walk this dark road?,
Let me be your light, and share the load,

Tell me, what is making your heart bleed?,
I desire to be the pillar you need,

To lift you up away from this darkness,
To a place of bliss and happiness,

Do not feel so distressed and broken,
Felicity's door for you I shall open,

So please!, take my hand,
Alone, you need not stand,

Because, I shall always be here for thee,
Fight for you I shall, even the "Shinigami!",

P.S Shinigami means "The Grim Reaper ...aka God of Death"

Small Explanation -  "Not One More Tear" describes a scenario where a person feels bad because his friend/lover(whichever you may like to comprehend) is not open to him/her. He/she want him/her to be more open to him....

Between You and Me (Arslan Poetry Blog)

Between You and Me Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog.

If beauty is a shining star,
Then you are its light,
Which shines bright,
In my dark night,

You make my day,
You brighten my night,
You are the sunshine,
Making my world bright,

You make my world green,
When you are close to me,
The most elegant being,
Was our meeting meant to be?,

I think yes, because time froze,
When I set my eyes upon thee,
That meeting, God surely chose,
Between you and me...,

Small Explanation-   In this poem "Between You and Me" I try to enumerate the feelings of a person towards his/her most beloved person. He/She state all the positive things which have been brought to his/her life by their meeting.

The first two lines were picked from the poem My Shining Star written by yours truly(Arslan).
P.S - I could not find a suitable picture so I went with a animated photo.

My Little Box (Arslan Poetry Blog)

Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog

A small box of secrets,
You are future's light,
Dim right now,
But tomorrow bright,

I gaze at you and ponder,
Untold many things you hold,
What will you become,
Smart, coward, or bold,

How fascinating you are,
Brought by my lady,
Beautiful like her,
You are my baby,

Small Explanation- In this poem, I try to describe the emotion, feelings, and thoughts a father goes through holding his new born for the first time in his arms. The Father wishes for his new born to grow and become a bright light(tomorrow bright).

P.S by "I" I do not mean me(ARSLAN)....

Final Paper

Final Paper Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog.

It has come, Judgement Day,
I, like all, get up, and prepare,
There is no running away,

Pen and Pencil in hand,
I go to my exam class,
To make my final stand,

I see faces happy and sad,
Final paper, in my hand,
I think, an omen good or bad,

Like gas, tension in the air,
It all could violently blow,
With just a flare,

Sweat trickling down my face,
I think, "Will I get It!?",
The grade that I chase,

I shall do my best,
Because, I'm a fighter,
I leave on God the rest,

That in mind, the test, I take,
I promise myself that my,
Determination shall not shake,

Small Explanation- This Poem "Final Paper" describes the emotion a student goes through, on the day of his Final Exam(He/She considers the day's severity with Judgement Day). The state of turmoil his mind is in is described in this poem, along with some other elements, I Hope you enjoyed this poem,

Thank You.

So Alone...

Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog

Shadows in the dark,
Presence just as stark,

Like Needle in a hay stack,
Stormy night, Broken Shack,

A lavish bar,of a hotel,
Sits a drink-less bottle,

Sits a lonely black jack,
In a faceless card stack,

Friendship is a lone ship to me,
A drowning ship in the open sea,

Smokers Nostalgia

Smoker's Nostalgia Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog

Picked up this little thing
At youth's time of spring

Unaware of a consequential life
Like a heart at the tip of a knife

With each pack it went deeper
Bringing The Bridge ever so closer

To take me from life to death
Invited it with every breath

At its center, I now stand
In front lies a dark land

Perplexed I see a flash back
Picture film white and black

A picture film full of smoke
Clouded more with every stroke

Smoke not of tragedy or distress
But, from a pack of cigarettes

With every inhale and each light
Chest struggled a losing fight

Earned wealth turned to ash
To update the cigarette stash

It was a secret a clandestine hobby
No longer Parents in the hospital lobby

Saddening, this picture film of smoke
Reform myself, I shall, if only I woke.

My Shining Star

My Shining Star Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog.

Relentlessly, my heart beats fast,
Is it a phobia?,
This feeling, I get gazing upon you,
No, its euphoria,

Forever, I want it to last,
This experience, so bright,
If beauty is a shining star,
Then, you are its light,

My life's darkness, you illuminate,
With just a smile,
Gazing, how long has it been?,
I believe, quite a while,

No longer can I wait,
for you, to be mine,
No one comes close,
To your unrivaled shine,

From you, all that I covet,
One, single, look,
To read my emotions,
I am an open book,

Keep you happy, I shall, everlastingly, you bet,
Forever and ever,
Please be my shining star, in this dark sky,
Forever and ever,

Foreign Student (Arslan Poetry Blog)

Foreign Student Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog.

By myself I stand, in a distant place,
People pass me by,
Apathetic, no hello or hi,
I gaze all around, no familiar face,

This is not, the land, created by my forefathers,
Different, it is in every view,
Not similar, even the scent of dew,
My loneliness fueled by the absence of my brothers,

Yet i stay, for academic enlightenment,
I channel my loneliness,
To fuel my academic prowess,
Patiently awaiting academic judgement,

Rain's Message

Rain's Message Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog.

Oh!, beautiful rain,
Here you are again,

Using clouds to sing your sermon,
I wonder, whether a good or bad omen,

You make sounds, with clouds, big and small,
Incomprehensible sound, but heard by all,

Your wind sweeps through every through every window and corner,
You are forever boundless, from race, culture, and border,

With cold water, you catch our attention, and bring us out,
Trying to convey your message, you shout and shout,

But, all you get are amazed faces,
Faces oblivious to your messages,

With wind in my face, drops in my hair, and your sound in my ears,
I wonder, how and why?, your message has been unheard of for many years,

Regardless, what we all wish for,
is that you will visit us once more,

Boring Classes

Boring Classes Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog

My head hurts, what is this feeling?,
Oh yeah, thats the teacher, teaching,

Giving his boring lecture, without break,
I struggle hard to stay awake,

"Study hard, each night and day,
Stay alert, don't cheat," they say,

Stay alert!, is it possible,
No, definitely impossible,

Because, they induce in us, sleep,
A hypnotic sleep, very deep,

They call us early and leave late,
Something which we all deeply hate,

I try to comprehend their sayings,
They seem to be mindless ramblings,

I wait for the bell, to energize me, and end this dilemma,
To get me out of this world of rate, Shockley, and sigma,

God bless the technology of the bell,
Made to get us out of this educational Hell,

The bell cures my head ache,
All my ailments with it, I shake,

Finally, to freedom I make my way,
And then go about the rest of the day,

Nearing Death

Nearing Death Copyright of Arslan Poetry Blog

Is this The Feeling,
The feeling of dying,

Breathing heavily with my chest out,
My eyes losing light, nearing a blackout,

Not Feeling any pat, slap, or punch,
As I slowly lose my sense of touch,

My ears rejecting every air wave,
As, for air, I vehemently crave,

The feeling of life, slipping away, into an abyss,
Then Suddenly, bursts light, bringing bliss,

Coming slowly to senses, I hear and see,
My friends striving to revive me,

Saved by friends, and The Higher Power,
I feel the luckiest man of the hour,

Now I carry with me, forever, The Feeling,
The feeling of almost Dying,

(based on actual experience)
